Christian Counselling

“But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his. Job 12:13 

As long as I can remember one of the passages God has imprinted on me has come from Proverbs 3:5-6.  

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” 

In this world we will all have sorrows, burdens and challenges. As a Christian I also trust that even in the most difficult days we can also know God’s peace that passes understanding and we can experience his grace, love and even joy. Galatians 6:2 also tells us: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” I believe God created us to be in community and to be ready to be of support and to walk alongside another both when times are good and when the days feel dark and the journey is hard. 

I value my training and experience as a counsellor and coach but ultimately I trust in God to journey with us through our session and to guide our discussion with his wisdom and love as he meets you where you are at and in the way you need him the most. My prayer is that you would find the healing, wholeness and direction you need to walk in the fullness of who God intends for you to be and to live out the abundant life and purpose he wants you to have. 

I believe God calls me to accept you unconditionally, see you without judgement as his beloved child and to provide you with a safe and caring environment in which you can remember who you are in him and determine how he is guiding you to move forward in his power and love. 

I respect who you are and your beliefs, values and ideas. I will utilize both my biblical and my professional training in counselling and solution focused brief therapy as is appropriate with who you are, for the session you would like to have and the direction you would like to walk in.
